KidZoneThe Peoria Unified School District is proud to offer the KidZone program, our innovative before and after school care program. Through this program, K-8 students are able to learn and interact in a safe, caring environment. The KidZone Mission is to provide a physically and emotionally safe environment where children can participate in engaging activities and build positive relationships. KidZone Fees can be found on our homepage. EdCamp is a program offered when school is not in session and is available during Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and the October 13th Non-School Day. If you would like to enroll for EdCamp only, please register for "Non-School Days". KidZone is currently available in the following Peoria Unified elementary schools: Canyon, Copperwood, Desert Valley, Frontier, Marshall Ranch, and Sahuaro Ranch. As part of the district’s 2026-27 budget reductions, the Governing Board approved a change to how online payment fees are handled. Beginning immediately, credit card transaction fees will no longer be covered by the district and will instead be the responsibility of the payer. We understand that any additional fees can be challenging for families. To help avoid this cost when paying Community Education fees, you may choose to pay with a debit card or by entering your checking account information, both of which do not include a transaction fee. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Transportation is available for Foothills students to attend KidZone at Canyon Elementary School. Transportation is also available from Heritage students to attend KidZone at Sahuaro Ranch Elementary School.Child Care Program -
Kinder CampEach day, your child will spend time becoming familiar with the Kindergarten classroom setting and practicing classroom routines. Students will visit different areas of the campus like the library, cafeteria and playground. Students will receive a daily snack and socialize with other students to help alleviate any anxiety they might experience on their first day of school. Note: There is no nurse on site during Kinder Camp. Medicines will not be kept or administered. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Apache will no longer be hosting 2020 Kinder Camp. If you would still like your child to attend, please select an alternative location. We apologize for any inconvenience.Category -

On-Site SupportIn accordance with Governor Ducey’s Executive Order 2020-51, each school district shall begin offering free on-site learning opportunities and support services for students who need a place to go during the day as required by Executive Order 2020-41. Note that on-site spaces allow students a safe place to come, log-in, and work on their online coursework in a supervised environment. On-site support is not offered on every campus. The on-site opportunities are NOT the same as an engaging classroom environment and do not include in-person instruction by a certified teacher. The intention of the Governor’s Order is that we serve the more vulnerable students in our district, such as the children of first responders, those with special education services, English language learners (ELL) or homeless and foster care students.Child Care Program
